Tyketto unveil new single ‘We Rise’ ahead of upcoming album ‘Closer To The Sun’

Hard rock veterans Tyketto have released the video for their powerful new single ‘We Rise,' the second track to be taken from their forthcoming studio album ‘Closer To The Sun,' due out Friday, March 20 via Silver Lining Music. The song sees the band leaning confidently back into their classic arena rock roots, driven by an uplifting message and a bold, anthemic sound. Fans can watch and listen to We Rise now at this location, with the video directed and edited by Scott Wardell and filmed by Paul Hollingsworth at Base Studios 1 in Stourbridge. The album is available to pre-order, including vinyl editions, at this location.

‘We Rise' captures the strong sense of optimism and forward momentum that runs throughout Closer To The Sun. Vocalist and founding member Danny Vaughn describes the track as a deliberate nod to the band’s anthemic past, explaining that it was written with the spirit of ‘Don’t Come Easy' in mind. Built around a guitar riff and chorus introduced by guitarist Harry Scott Elliott, the song came together as a full-band collaboration, with a simple but resonant message about resilience and perseverance. Across the album, Tyketto explore themes of love, loss and life’s defining moments, from the soaring title track to the raw punch of ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts' and the emotive power ballad The Picture. The result is a record that sits comfortably alongside the classic sounds of Whitesnake and Aerosmith, while still feeling fresh and vital.

‘Closer To The Sun' features a formidable lineup, with Vaughn joined by Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Chris Childs of Thunder on bass and Johnny Dee of Doro on drums. Recorded across several UK and European studios, including Flip Flop Studios and the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales, the album showcases a band still very much moving forward. Following the earlier release of the single ‘Higher Than High,' Vaughn notes that audiences are increasingly recognising Tyketto as a band with new energy rather than a nostalgia act.

In support of the album, Tyketto have announced a run of 2026 live dates, beginning with a headline appearance at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End festival in Porthcawl, Wales, and followed by a full UK tour in the spring. European dates will be announced soon. Full tour details and ticket information are available via tyketto.com.
