Rising Americana and country artist Bandana Cheyenna has teamed up with Canadian folk-pop songwriter Adam Wendler for a new collaborative single, ‘Anyhow,' out now on all major streaming platforms. The pair are longtime creative partners, having previously co-written Dasha’s global breakout hit ‘Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)' and reunite here for a track that blends introspective storytelling with warm, folk-inspired textures.
Released in collaboration with Amsterdam-based boutique label Overland Records, Anyhow marks Cheyenna’s first folk-leaning release under the imprint. The song is set to appear on an upcoming EP due in early 2026, which will combine previously released fan favourites with brand-new material, offering a broader snapshot of Cheyenna’s evolving sound.
Co-written by Cheyenna and Wendler and produced by Wendler, ‘Anyhow' began as a simple phrase jotted down in Cheyenna’s phone notes before growing into something more meaningful. What initially felt like it might become a sad love song shifted direction as the two writers reflected on their shared creative journeys. The result is a track about staying committed to your dreams, even when the path is uncertain, and trusting the process no matter how long it takes.
At its heart, Anyhow is a reminder to take chances and live fully in the present. Built around the line “The only time we really have is now, anyhow,” the song encourages listeners to believe in themselves, embrace the moment, and enjoy the ride as it unfolds. Influenced by artists such as Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell and Kacey Musgraves, the track showcases a more stripped-back, reflective side of Cheyenna’s artistry.
Cheyenna continues to cement her reputation as one of Nashville’s most in-demand hitmakers. Her co-writing credits include Dasha’s ‘Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)' which has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, ‘Even Cowboys Cry' from Dasha’s debut album, Alexandra Kay’s viral single ‘Cupid’s A Cowgirl' and the title track of Kay’s album ‘Second Wind' alongside Magnolia Rising’s ‘Hit The Ground.' With ‘Anyhow,' she steps further into the spotlight as an artist in her own right, setting the tone for an exciting new chapter ahead.
