Williams said: “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. The new record is raw, there are more guitars and it’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album.”
Following the success of the critically acclaimed UK leg of the ‘BRITPOP' stadium and arena tour, more British live shows will be announced soon. The UK leg of the tour finished last month to incredible reviews and an array of surprise guests including Lulu, Self Esteem, Lethal Bizzle and Five, with shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bath. The gigs – where Robbie performed to over 250,000 people in the UK in just two weeks – marked the first opportunity for fans to hear new song ‘Rocket’ played live, which spectacularly opened the shows. The ‘BRITPOP’ tour continues this summer with dates across Europe.
