The wait for ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer‘ is almost over but as we count down the days, a new trailer and poster has arrived.
The horror franchise reboot/continuation is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, with a story by Leah McKendrick & Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, and a screenplay by Sam Lansky & Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. The new trailer gives an even better look at what's to come from the new film:
Not only does the new trailer confirm that the plot is very similar to the original movie, it also features plenty of throwbacks to that film. Anyone else getting Helen Shivers final chase scene flashbacks? We also get to see a bit more of how Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.) fit into this new story.
The cast for the new film includes Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols, with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the massacre of 1997 for help.
