Gloria Estefan debuts new single ‘La Vecina (No Sé Na’)

Gloria Estefan continues to tease fans in the run-up to her new album ‘Raíces' with the release of new single ‘La Vecina (No Sé Na').

The high-energy Salsa track follows the chart-topping success of the title track ‘Raíces'. It is a vibrant, playful ode to the classic Latin neighbourhood dynamic and to la vecina (the neighbour) everyone knows: the one who always seems to know everything or at least thinks she does. Watch the video below:

‘La Vecina (No Sé Na') is written by Emilio Estefan and it blends irresistible salsa rhythms with Gloria's unmistakable vocals to deliver a party anthem destined to become a classic. The song is featured on Estefan's new album ‘Raíces', her first all-Spanish studio album in 18 years.

The set is a deeply personal musical celebration of her five-decade career. Released on 29th May 2025, the album pays tribute to her roots, family, culture, and the timeless sounds that shaped her as an artist.

The music video for ‘La Vecina (No Sé Na')' is directed by Gloria and it was shot in El Cuartelito (of The Barracks as Gloria and her family call it), the very apartment complex where Gloria and her mother first lived after arriving from Cuba in May 1960. The video captures the spirit of Miami in the 1960s and the tight-knit Cuban-American community that helped raise her.

Starring Amara La Negra (Diana Danelys De Los Santos) as La Vecina, the video introduces the audience to a charming and charismatic neighbourhood figure, the gossip queen who sees and hears it all. Amara infuses the role with humour, boldness, and undeniable charisma, portraying the heartbeat of a community brought together by tradition, rhythm, and resilience.

The video is especially meaningful to Gloria, as it marks the first time the Estefan family appears together onscreen featuring Gloria, Emilio, their daughter Emily, son Nayib, and grandson Sasha. Through dazzling wardrobe, colourful set design, and joyful choreography, the piece becomes a multi-generational celebration of legacy and Latin joy.

“For me, recording in that neighbourhood was like going back in time,” shares Gloria. “It felt as if time had stopped. So many memories came rushing back the smells, the colors, the voices of my childhood. It was incredibly emotional and grounding to reconnect with my roots in such a real way.””

Fans can look forward to hearing ‘Raíces' in full on 29th May 2025.
