Country music’s newest rising star Maddox Batson has announced his first headlining tour, the I Need A Truck Tour, adding more than two dozen shows to his already packed fall schedule. The 15-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will hit the road starting September 7 in Richmond, Virginia, for a 29-date run that spans the U.S., with stops in major cities including Orlando, Boston, Kansas City, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee, before wrapping up on November 2 with a homecoming show in Birmingham, Alabama.
The announcement arrives alongside the release of Batson’s deluxe EP ‘First Dance (The After Party),' dropping Friday, May 2 via Warner Records. The project features his breakout track ‘I Need A Truck,' a song that captures the anticipation of his first set of wheels. “It’s wild to be 15 and releasing a song about the anticipation of my first truck at the same time I’m announcing a tour,” Batson shared. “My family is good about reminding me to live in the moment and really take it all in, and I promise you I am.” Reflecting on a whirlwind year that’s included the Road to Indio Tour and a recent performance at Stagecoach Festival, Batson added, “As long as y’all keep showing up, so will we – we have the best fans in the world!”
Tickets for the tour are available now via an exclusive artist presale, with venue and local-market presales opening April 30 at 1 p.m. local time, followed by a Spotify presale on May 1. General on-sale begins May 2 at 1 p.m. local time, coinciding with the release of ‘First Dance (The After Party).'
