For the first time in more than five decades, the original Alice Cooper band is back with a brand-new studio album. Titled ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper,' the highly anticipated record will be released on July 25 via earMUSIC, marking a monumental return for the group that helped define the sound of shock rock in the 1970s.
Touted as the spiritual successor to landmark albums like School’s Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Love It to Death, and Killer, the album reunites Alice Cooper with original bandmates Neal Smith, Michael Bruce, and Dennis Dunaway. Produced by longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, the project is a celebration of their legacy and a bold step forward.
The first single, ‘Black Mamba,' is out now and features a special guest appearance by Robby Krieger of The Doors. The track offers a venomous, riff-heavy blast of classic rock energy that serves as a thrilling reintroduction to the band’s signature sound.
Staying true to their roots, ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper' dives deep into vintage horror themes and the theatrical spirit that made the band iconic. One of the album’s most poignant moments comes with ‘What Happened to You,' which features a posthumous guitar part from original member Glen Buxton, who passed away in 1997. His contribution, taken from an unearthed recording, bridges the band’s storied past with its creative resurgence.
The album also includes a hidden gem from the early days of Alice Cooper: a raw alternate take of ‘Return of the Spiders,' originally recorded in 1970 but recently rediscovered in long-lost multi-track tapes. This newly enhanced version appears as a bonus track on limited edition box sets and smart formats.
Recorded in a classic studio setting in Connecticut, the project is steeped in nostalgia while embracing the band's rebellious spirit. Ezrin and the band worked together just like they did in the early ‘70s, rekindling the chemistry that helped shape rock history.
From the aggressive energy of ‘Wild Ones' to the haunting beauty of ‘See You on the Other Side,' ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper' promises to deliver a full-throttle experience for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
The album will be available in a variety of formats, including limited-edition vinyl pressings, a collector’s box set, and a unique “smart format” art print edition featuring early access to two bonus tracks and high-definition digital downloads.
The Revenge of Alice Cooper arrives July 25. ‘Black Mamba' is available to stream now on all digital platforms.
