The Grand Ole Opry has announced that multi-platinum singer-songwriter Riley Green will be a special guest performer at ‘Opry NextStage Live from Texas' on May 7. The event, hosted by Jelly Roll, will take place at 2:30 p.m. CT at the Lexus Box Garden at Legacy Hall in Plano, Texas. Presented by Tecovas, this marks the third year of the highly anticipated show, held ahead of the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards on May 8 in nearby Frisco.
Green, a six-time nominee at this year’s ACM Awards and part of the inaugural Opry NextStage class in 2019, will join the 2025 NextStage class lineup. This includes Avery Anna, Chayce Beckham, Dasha, Kaitlin Butts, Kashus Culpepper, Tigirlily Gold, and Tucker Wetmore, along with host Jelly Roll, a three-time ACM nominee.
Tickets for the event are available now.
Launched in 2019, Opry NextStage has become a vital platform for emerging country artists. It has helped launch the careers of major stars including Green, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Parker McCollum, Nate Smith, ERNEST, and Wyatt Flores. Seven former NextStage artists have gone on to win ACM New Artist honors, and Wilson made history as the first program alum to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Collectively, NextStage artists have accumulated 33 No. 1 singles and spent a total of 43 weeks atop the Country Aircheck/Mediabase airplay chart.
