Colbie Caillat teams up with Russell Dickerson for new song

Colbie Caillat is teaming up with Country star Russell Dickerson for new single ‘If You Love Me Let Me Go'.

Released on 4th April 2025, and available to pre-save now, the song is written by Caillat with Jamie Scott, John Ryan and Julian Bunetta. ‘If You Love Me Let Me Go' is produced by Jimmy Robbins and Eric Arjes, and it's a heartfelt track that tells the story of a couple caught in an endless cycle of breaking up and making up, unable to fully move on.

“I’ve experienced this after a breakup,” shares Caillat. “Painfully immersed in the cycle of that person coming in and out of your life. If you love each other, then work on it together. But there comes a time when real love also means you know when to let them go.”

For this release, Caillat knew it needed a male perspective and immediately thought of Russell Dickerson.

“I’ve been friends with Russell for many years now and I’m also a fan of his music and artistry,” she says. “I knew this story would be best told through two voices, and he’s perfect for it.”

“First off, I've always been a huge fan of Colbie!,” adds Dickerson. “So, when she asked me to join her on this song, I was honestly blown away. Her music is timeless, and she’s truly the voice of a generation. Being part of something like this is such an honor and a pleasure!”

‘If You Love Me Let Me Go' is the first taste of new music from Colbie Caillat, with more to come later this year.
