CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee Ashley McBryde is set to release her heartfelt and introspective new single ‘Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs' on Friday, December 6, via Warner Music Nashville. Fans can pre-save the track here.
Written by McBryde alongside Chris Harris and Patrick Savage, the poignant track reflects a longing for timeless values in a rapidly changing world. With poetic lyrics and McBryde’s signature authenticity, the song captures the essence of resilience, hard work, and community—qualities she says are inspired by the cowboy archetypes of her youth.
A Reflection on Loss and Connection
“In the last several years, we’ve all been feeling like something is missing,” McBryde shares. “I noticed it in myself and in the people I came in contact with. For us, this song helped articulate that feeling. We’re all starving to reconnect with the things that made us who we are.”
Drawing inspiration from childhood heroes and the enduring spirit of the cowboy, McBryde says the song embodies values such as kindness, justice, and a relentless work ethic. “There’s no substitute for hard work, resilience, and standing up for others. No matter what we try to fill that void with, it never quite measures up,” she explains.
A Fan-Favorite in the Making
Fans have eagerly anticipated the track since McBryde teased it during a live performance in Greeley, Colorado, earlier this month. Comments on social media included, “Don’t be shy, drop the whole song,” and, “Stealing my heart one chord at a time.” The performance has sparked excitement, with fans calling it their “new favorite song.”
Upcoming Performances and Tour Dates
Ashley McBryde will debut “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” live at the Grand Ole Opry on December 3, just days before its official release. She’ll also take the stage at the 58th Annual CMA Awards on November 20.
Looking ahead to 2025, McBryde will join Cody Johnson for his Leather Deluxe Tour and appear at major festivals, including Stagecoach and Country Thunder.
