Drew Green has unveiled his brand new festive tune ‘All I Want For Christmas is an Open Bar', which is available to stream and download now.
The guitar-powered song is a modern take on the Christmas song, dismissing Christmas cheer and relying on booze to get through the holidays. Listen to the cheeky new track below:
The ironically up-beat track perfectly captures the feeling of missing old holiday traditions with a former lover, “just because Santa Claus is coming to town, there's gotta be a place for this here broken heart.”
“’All I Want For Christmas is an Open Bar’ is my first original Christmas song, and I had so much fun writing and producing it,” said Green of the tune. “Open bars are fun anytime of year – who wouldn’t want one on Christmas as well?! I hope everyone enjoys it!”
The single follows the release of Green's ‘Colorado' in August, which featured HARDY. Originally released by Florida Georgia Line, the song was co-written by HARDY, Hunter Phelps, and Green himself. ‘Colorado' is the focus track on Green's ‘Whiskey on Whiskey' EP.
With his genre-bending country, pop, and R&B style, Green first garnered attention as a songwriter before catching the artist spotlight with his 2020 tracks, ‘Little More Be Alright' and ‘She Got That'.
