French series ‘Syndrome E' is coming to C4 Streaming courtesy of Walter Presents in November.
The first TV series adapted from the work of international best-selling thriller writer and screenwriter Franck Thilliez, ‘Syndrome E' stars Vincent Elbaz, Jennifer Decker and Kool Shen. The show was created by Mathieu Missoffe.
In Paris, a plainclothes neighborhood policewoman, Lt. Lucie Henebelle, begins to cry tears of blood and shoots her patrol partner. The case is assigned to washed up Captain Sharko, a legendary homicide detective who is brilliant and unstable in equal measure. Haunted by the ghosts of his own past, his wife and daughter died in a terrorist attack.
Sharko has Lucie transferred to his crime squad. The investigation leads them to probe the medical files that Moreau hospital kept in his safe and discover the movie entitled “Syndrome E”: several young girls in an insane frenzy who are crying tears of blood, like Lucie.
Lucie is affected more and more by the mysterious Syndrome E, she can feel it rumbling inside her. Sharko sees her distress and their attraction for each other grows. Their suspicions focus on the Moreau Family Foundation, which specializes in state-of-the-art neuroscience research.
Soon the body count rises again, and when Lucie takes a MRI test to try and figure out what happened to her the results only create more questions. And what does any of this have to do with the sinister figures in Casablanca kidnapping kids with a white van with an eye painted on the side?
Walter Presents: ‘Syndrome E' will be available on C4 Streaming from 8th November 2024.
