Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sophia Scott has just dropped her latest single, ‘Buy A Round,' a bold and sizzling anthem that showcases her unapologetic attitude and newfound confidence. Released ahead of her highly anticipated debut performance at the Ryman Auditorium, where she will be supporting Niko Moon, ‘Buy A Round' marks a new chapter in Scott’s musical journey. ‘Buy A Round' is about being shamelessly myself in a new era of life,” says Scott. “I’m single for the first time in 10 years, having fun again, owning my power, and being okay with getting into a little bit of harmless trouble. Life’s too short to be anything but exactly who you are, and right now, I want to celebrate this moment of being slightly unhinged. It won’t last forever.”
Co-written by Scott alongside Mags Duval, Luke Niccoli, and Micah Premnath, the track exudes swagger and confidence, with vivid storytelling that pulls listeners right into her world. The song kicks off with a scene-setting opening line—“If I don’t pick up the phone/Chances are I’m getting stoned/And only thing that I got on is Patsy Cline”—before building into a fiery chorus where Scott lets loose with carefree abandon. The track, produced by Niccoli, blends soulful vocals with a guitar-heavy, drum-driven sound that culminates in a scorching guitar solo.
Already making waves on social media, the teaser for ‘Buy A Round' has garnered over 2 million views. This release follows Scott's debut album ‘BARSTOOL CONFESSIONS' which dropped in October 2023 to critical acclaim and featured standout tracks like ‘Boots, Jeans, & Jesus' and ‘Lipstick on You.' The album offered a raw, real-time account of Scott’s journey through heartbreak and healing, solidifying her as a rising star in country music.
