Agora Models has announced the release of a truly iconic collector’s item – a 1:8 model of the world’s most famous car: the Aston Martin DB5 from the third James Bond movie, 1964's ‘Goldfinger' which starred Sean Connery as secret agent 007.
The stunning scale model is plated in 24-carat gold. This luxurious limited-edition replica, created in collaboration with Eon Productions and Aston Martin, celebrates the 60th anniversary of the James Bond classic. With only seven models being crafted, this ultra-exclusive release is priced at £24,999 ($29,999/€29,999).
With sales launching on James Bond Day, October 5th 2024, the Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5 model will be available exclusively through agoramodels.com. The first seven buyers will secure their spot in owning one of the rarest Bond collectibles ever produced.
In keeping with its cinematic counterpart, this museum-quality replica comes fully equipped with a suite of Bond’s signature gadgets, all functional. Among these are the famous ejector seat with a removable roof panel, twin Browning machine guns, a bulletproof screen, tyre slashers, oil slick jets, revolving number plates, and more—all meticulously recreated to scale.
The creation of the model involved advanced laser scanning of the original full-size Goldfinger car, with hundreds of photos taken to capture every intricate detail, from the engine and chassis to the dashboard and gadgets. Over 250 custom moulds were used to bring the model to life, with the body plated in 24-carat Fairmined gold by expert craftspeople in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. Each of the seven models will come with a signed certificate from Eon Productions and Agora Models.
