Walter Presents: ‘Nordic Murders’ Season 5 coming in October

Walter Presents is bringing Season 5 of ‘Nordic Murders' to C4 Streaming October.

The show is created by Michael Vershinin and it stars Katrin Sass, Rikke Lylloff and Till Firit.

Sadistic puppy killers, dead children and brutal murders. The idealistic island of Usedom continues to be battered by an onslaught of violent crimes. Former District Attorney Karin Lossow, alongside her nephew, detective Witt, investigate the sinister crime spree, uncovering devious plots, incarcerating dangerous criminals and saving lives, but at what cost to themselves?

Episode one begins with a young woman chased through the Usedom forest and ends up in a pitfall, her pursuer close on her heels. What seems like the beginning of a horror film is a survival training course offered to 18-year-old Fabienne Leppin by loner Ivo Klose. At the same time, Karin Lossow discovers half-decomposed puppies in the forest while out walking her dog Lucky. She informs Holm Brendel, but the police are currently busy with other issues: Fabienne's mother, Jana Leppin, is missing. A large pool of blood in her car points to a violent crime.

While Detective Inspector Rainer Witt questions the employees and clients of the care service run by businesswoman Elena Herzog, where Jana Leppin worked, Karin Lossow cannot stop worrying about the discovery of the dead puppies. She asks her great-nephew Ben, Rainer's son, to put her homemade video of the scene on the Internet – much to the displeasure of Usedom's new public prosecutor and Rainer's partner Katharina Stozek. To stop the conflict from escalating, Karin temporarily moves out of Rainer and Katharina's house to the holiday flat of Jörn Scherer and his daughter Lara.

Walter Presents: ‘Nordic Murders' Season 5 will be available as a full boxset on C4 Streaming from 18th October 2024.
