Country-pop sensation Tanner Adell has just released her latest single, ‘Silverado,' after an overwhelming demand from her fans. The new track, available now, is a melodically moody piece that draws from Adell's personal journey to Nashville, reflecting the silver linings she discovered along the way. Written by Adell alongside Akil “worldwidefresh” King, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Jared Tyler Mullins, Ben Stennis, and Anthony Germaine White, ‘Silverado' captures the perseverance and determination that fuelled her move to Music City.
In reflecting on the song, Adell shared, “When I moved to Nashville, I had about $400 in my pocket, mostly from selling my most prized possession, my piano. I gave up everything I knew to move to a city where I knew no one, with just a dream and hope that one day, I would touch the stars. That's what this song represents—my drive to keep going while enjoying every minute of the ride, even if I did spend many days surviving off White Castle sliders.”
The release of ‘Silverado' follows Adell's surprise drop of ‘Cowboy Break My Heart' just two months ago, a track she debuted during a groundbreaking performance at the 2024 BET Awards. This performance made her the first female country artist to ever perform at the all-genre awards show, earning her praise from VIBE, which noted that she is “making sure country music remains at the forefront of mainstream conversations.” REVOLT also lauded her appearance, highlighting how she “flawlessly showcased her versatility, vocals, and magnetic stage presence all at once.”
Adell has been making waves this year with other hits like ‘Too Easy' from the Twisters soundtrack, leading UPROXX to declare that “Tanner Adell is bound to be the voice of the country music landscape.” She also delivered a memorable performance of her summer anthem ‘Whiskey Blues' on The Jennifer Hudson Show in May, blending it with her viral hit ‘Buckle Bunny' for a fresh take on both tracks.
‘Buckle Bunny,' described by TIME as a “country/hip-hop slammer,” is the title track from her debut mixtape ‘Buckle Bunny.' The eight-song collection is packed with female empowerment anthems that stay true to country roots while infusing pop vocals and hip-hop beats. As a co-writer on each track, Adell draws from her experiences as a biracial woman embracing her authentic self, crafting energetic tunes that resonate with fans across genres.
