Rising country star Nate Smith has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing his third consecutive No. 1 single at country radio with ‘Bulletproof,' which has topped the Mediabase chart for the second straight week. Written by Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson, and Hunter Phelps, ‘Bulletproof' marks Smith's third consecutive multi-week No. 1 hit, making him the first artist in R&R/Mediabase history to launch their career with such a streak.
This latest achievement follows the success of Smith's previous chart-toppers, ‘World On Fire,' which dominated the Billboard Country Airplay Chart for 10 consecutive weeks and the Mediabase chart for three weeks, and his debut single ‘Whiskey On You,' which also reached No. 1 on both charts. In total, Smith's first three singles have spent a combined 14 weeks at the top across the Billboard and Mediabase charts.
Reflecting on his success, Smith expressed his gratitude, saying, “When I write and record music, I genuinely do it for me… So, you can imagine having three songs that have gone number one truly feels like a massive honor.” He added, “Radio has really given me a chance, and I'm grateful for all the lifelong friendships I have built with them… Number ones allow me to take better care of my teams and my family. I never thought in a million years this would be a possibility for me, but here we are.”
Smith is preparing for his 2024 Through The Smoke headline fall tour, which will kick off on September 19th in Portland, OR, and wrap up in Nashville, TN, on December 5th. The tour follows his stint with Morgan Wallen on the 2024 ONE NIGHT AT A TIME stadium tour. For more information on his upcoming tour, visit Nate Smith's official website.
