Kenny Thomas has released new single ‘Looking Up To You', a cover of the Michael Wycoff song, which is his first new music since 2022.
The song arrives following the release of Thomas' long-lost and unreleased 1995 album ‘HIM', and the release of his very first ‘Best Of‘, which arrived in November 2023 to coincide with the singer's sold-out UK tour.
Since Thomas' ‘HIM' tour in May this year and for the very first time, he has launched in his own unique club-show across the UK, which brings together the best soul DJ’s alongside the pioneering soul hit-makers performing live, Loose Ends who are guests on several dates.
Commenting on the new single Thomas says, “This is a song I’ve always wanted to cover, and I knew that Opolopo would bring an incredible fresh take on this Soul classic – I had a huge amount of fun when I first introduced it to my live set on the ‘Brit-Soul Ascending tour,’ it went down really well with the fans. I’ve enjoyed recording it, and hope it brings something fresh to the original which I have always loved. I have my biggest ever UK tour starting in October with a live string section and full band, so we will be bringing this one out for those who will be partying with us. I can’t wait.”
