Country pop artist Jordana Bryant is celebrating her newfound civic duty with the release of her brand new single, ‘Taylor For President,' available today, Thursday, June 27, 2024. Embracing her inner Swiftie, the song is filled with Easter Eggs inspired by Taylor Swift's iconic Eras, delivering an inspirational and optimistic spin as the upcoming election approaches. Bryant has been teasing the song since her Hampton Social rooftop performance earlier this month (which we were there to see) and more recently on her rapidly growing TikTok, which boasts over 3.9 million likes, and her Instagram, with over 329,000 followers.
“As an 18-year-old getting ready to vote for the first time, I’m hopeful this election year to find a candidate who speaks to me – someone that I can get excited about supporting,” Bryant explains. “I think what makes Taylor Swift a really powerful songwriter and entertainer is how she connects with her fans and how relatable her music is. It’d be wonderful to have someone running for President with that similar universal relatability and ability to connect all kinds of people. By releasing this song, I want to bring some lightheartedness to the genuine changes myself and my peers hope to see this November. If nothing else, I hope it’s a reminder for voters, especially first-time voters like myself, to vote for what they want their future to look like.”
Growing up, Jordana was inspired by the authenticity and relatability of Swift’s lyrics. She began writing her own songs at an early age with the hope of connecting people and adding positivity. Now, at 18 years old, Jordana is poised to take to the voting booth for the first time this November and is using her voice through this song to encourage others to do the same and bring people together on the eve of the first Presidential debate.
Looking ahead to the second half of 2024, Jordana plans to continue releasing new music regularly and has a summer full of shows lined up. She jump-started her summer with a performance at Nashville’s CMA Fest in June, where she shared the stage with Jordan Davis and Russell Dickerson. During CMA Fest, she teased the “Taylor For President” release and gave fans a special preview of the song at her Fan Fair X booth. Additionally, Jordana will join Niko Moon for select dates this summer in Delaware and Texas and will open for Lauren Alaina in Illinois this September.
Jordana started the year with the heart-wrenching single ‘How’d You Do It' and has since showcased her versatility as an artist with upbeat, melody-driven singles like ‘Fire Works.' Her steady stream of releases has seen much success as she shares on TikTok and Instagram, allowing fans to hear unreleased music early. Last year, Jordana celebrated her radio debut on SiriusXM’s The Highway with the single ‘Can I Get It Back' and released her self-titled debut EP, which reached #10 on the iTunes country album charts. The EP featured the fan-favourite track ‘Penniless and Broke,' praised by Billboard and Glamour. Jordana also signed with CAA for exclusive tour booking and supported Season 21 winners of NBC’s The Voice, Girl Named Tom, as well as Alexandra Kay.
