Walter Presents is bringing ‘The Sommerdahl Murders' to More4 and C4 Streaming, starting this month.
Starring Peter Mygind, André Babikian and Laura Drasbæk, the Danish series is created by Lolita Bellstar.
DCI Dan Sommerdahl investigates murders in a lovely Danish coastal town with his best friend, Detective Flemming Torp, and his wife, Marianne, a criminal technician. They have all know each other since academy days. But has Dan's years of devotion to the job hurt his marriage for good? When Marianne wants a divorce, Dan discovers his rival for her affections is none other than his best friend and partner Flemming.
Things get tense in the investigation department as Dan, Flemming and Marianne have to continue working alongside each other, solving murder cases in Elsinore.
In the first of our double bill, it’s the 25th wedding anniversary party for Dan and his wife Marianne but the celebrations are short lived when they are interrupted with the news that a woman’s body has washed up behind Kronborg Castle. The investigation takes priority over the celebration as there is a desperate race against time to find the dead woman’s missing baby.
Dan will rue not spending more time with his wife as this absorbing series proves to be as much about their crumbling relationships as it is about murders they must solve.
Walter Presents: ‘The Sommerdahl Murders' will air as double bills on More4 starting 28th June 2024 with episodes available on C4 Streaming each week.
