‘A League of Their Own: Mexican Roadtrip’ is coming to Sky Max and NOW on Tuesday 21st May 2024 it has been confirmed.
The eighth series will see team captains Jamie Redknapp and Jill Scott, alongside Micah Richards, Mo Gilligan and Maisie Adam, exploring what Mexico has to offer. They’ll also be taking on a number of epic and fun sporting challenges along the way.
Set to be a thrill-ride across the country, the cast will gamely take on activities and challenges – with hilarious results – including joining the world-famous Day of the Dead parade, shooting penalties in front of sixty thousand passionate football fans at C.D. Guadalajara, fighting fair at a unique Lucha Libre wrestling event, scuba-diving with sea lions, and much, much more.
When the results are finally in, audiences will see the ‘loser’ take part in a terrifying forfeit – a giant bungee swing across the desert canyon.
‘A League of Their Own: Mexican Roadtrip’ was commissioned by Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content for Sky UK and Ireland and Phil Edgar-Jones, Director, Sky Arts and Entertainment.
