With Jake Owen and Jon Pardi breaking their UK virginities this year our thoughts have turned to other artists that have never toured or played at festivals like C2C and the Long Road. We thought it would be nice to give you a chance to vote for the artist you would most like to see play in the UK at some point too, so you can cast a vote below the list.
A couple of caveats – some artists like Sam Hunt have appeared once, at the C2C festival in 2015 so we haven’t included him on the list and even George Strait has played the UK before back in the mists of time. An internet search couldn’t quite nail down when that was but we did find this article from Alan Cackett dated 1995 with a quote from longtime manager, Erv Woolsey, “We haven’t overlooked international markets, and we know George has a lot of fans overseas, but commitments in the USA have made it difficult to tour. But we have been talking about a visit to Australia, and there will be a time when George will return to the UK. He certainly enjoyed his first visit there and was thrilled with the audience response..” So, Strait is not on the list either otherwise the waters will get muddied.
