Robert Vincent drops third track ‘Burden’ from upcoming ‘Barriers’ album

Renowned songwriter Robert Vincent has unveiled the release date for his highly anticipated album, ‘Barriers,’ set to debut on June 21st via Thirty Tigers. Alongside this announcement, Vincent has dropped a new track titled ‘Burden,’ following the release of two previously acclaimed preview tracks, ‘The Insider’ and ‘Follow What You Love & Love Will Follow.’

‘Burden’ arrives amidst exciting news of Vincent’s upcoming special guest appearances at three of Robert Plant’s UK shows this spring. Fans can catch Vincent previewing tracks from his upcoming album, along with live renditions of fan favourites, on April 30th at the Royal Hall in Harrogate, May 1st at the Globe Theatre in Stockton, and May 3rd at Warwick Arts Centre.

Reflecting on ‘Burden,’ Vincent delves into the theme of collective guilt and the pressures individuals face in striving to live ethically amidst societal challenges. He explores the universal experience of bearing the weight of the world’s troubles, emphasizing the shared desire for peace and harmony in our communities.

Vincent’s announcement builds upon the buzz generated by the release of ‘The Insider,’ the album’s lead track, accompanied by a captivating music video featuring Liverpool actor David Morrissey. Morrissey, impressed by Vincent’s talent after witnessing his performance at Black Deer Festival, became an avid supporter of the artist. Vincent further celebrated the launch of his new music with a triumphant hometown show at Liverpool’s Royal Philharmonic in late 2023.

‘Barriers’ marks a significant evolution in Vincent’s sound, showcasing a broader and more ambitious musical palette. Departing from the socio-political commentary of his previous album, the forthcoming project draws inspiration from Vincent’s personal experiences, resulting in a collection of songs that offer profound introspection and emotional resonance. Vincent describes ‘Barriers’ as an intimate exploration of inner struggles, poised to resonate deeply with listeners navigating their own journeys.
