Cyndi Lauper to play London’s Royal Albert Hall one-off show

Iconic pop sensation Cyndi Lauper is set to dazzle audiences with a special one-night-only performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall, marking her first solo show in the UK in eight years.

Taking place on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, the show promises to be an unforgettable evening as Lauper takes the stage with her full band, delivering a lineup of timeless hits including classics like ‘Time After Time,’ ‘True Colors,’ and the iconic anthem, ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun.’ We pick 5 songs we’d love her to perform!

Tickets for this exclusive event will be available for purchase starting from 10 am on March 28th, directly from the Royal Albert Hall Box Office.

Reflecting on her upcoming performance, Lauper shared her excitement, stating, “I haven’t played at the Royal Albert Hall since 1995, when I was there for my 12 Deadly Cyns tour. I had a blast. And not only is the Royal Albert Hall one of the most important music venues, but over 20 Suffragette rallies were held there! That makes it great for me.”

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Lauper’s inclusion in this year’s Glastonbury Festival lineup, where she is set to grace the legendary Pyramid Stage.

A trailblazing figure in the music industry, Lauper’s groundbreaking career spans decades, earning her numerous accolades including Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards. With over 50 million records sold worldwide, Lauper’s influence and infectious live performances have solidified her status as a pop culture icon.

From her debut album, ‘She’s So Unusual,’ which made her the first woman to have four top-five singles from a debut album, to her Grammy-winning original score for the hit musical ‘Kinky Boots’ in 2013, Lauper continues to captivate audiences with her unparalleled talent and timeless charm.
