‘Unfortunate: the untold story of Ursula the sea witch’ on UK theatre tour

Laura Elmes of Wildpark Entertainment, in collaboration with Runaway Entertainment, The Vaults, and Dianne Roberts, presents the hilarious musical parody ‘Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch’ as it tours the UK.

Following a critically-acclaimed 10-week stint in London, the show will arrive at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley from Tuesday, June 18th to Saturday, June 22nd. Featuring an original pop-infused soundtrack and raunchy humour, the production delves into the untold saga of Disney’s iconic villain, Ursula, offering her unique perspective on the events beneath the waves.

‘Unfortunate’ stars Shawna Hamic (‘Orange is the New Black’ and Broadway’s ‘1776’) in the lead role of Ursula, alongside River Medway from ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK’ as Ariel. The ensemble cast includes Thomas Lowe as Triton, Allie Dart as Sebastian, Jamie Mawson as Eric, Julian Capolei as Grimsby, and Corrina Buchan, Jack Gray, Jamie McKillop, and Milly Willows.

In a realm where Cruella and Maleficent have had their say, it’s now Ursula’s turn to reveal all in this scandalous narrative of passion, magic and deceit. With an updated script and enhanced production, this latest iteration promises to be bigger, bolder, and sexier than ever before, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the hottest entertainment of the year.

The creative forces behind ‘Unfortunate’ include Robyn Grant and Daniel Foxx as writers, with music, arrangements and orchestration by Tim Gilvin. Set, costume, and puppet design is by Abby Clarke, choreography by Melody Sinclair, additional orchestrations and music production by Nikki Davison and Joe Davison for Auburn Jam, with musical supervision and direction by Arlene McNaught.
