In discussing the album, Marlowe shares, “I feel like I discovered a lot about myself while making this record. This album explores everything from loss to love, depression to joy, and overcoming the voices in your head telling you you’re not good enough.” The album’s title, stems from a conversation with his father, encapsulating themes of perseverance, dedication, and honouring promises.

The title track, ‘Keepin’ The Lights On,’ co-penned by Marlowe, Marvel, and Phil O’Donnell, offers listeners a glimpse into Marlowe’s heartfelt storytelling. With an acoustic flavour and softly paced melody, Marlowe’s vulnerability shines through as he navigates the sacrifices made by his parents and reflects on his own journey chasing dreams.
