Ariana Grande has released the music video for her new single “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” taken from her recently released album ‘eternal sunshine‘.
The Christian Breslauer directed clip stars Evan Peters (‘American Horror Story’) and it pays homage to the film ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, which starred Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. In the clip, Grande tries to forget a former lover and we see her reliving memories of their time together.
Over the weekend Grande performed the song on ‘Saturday Night Live’ along with album track ‘imperfect for you’. Her performances saw her receive rave reviews from fans and critics.
Today Grande has released a new version of her latest album titled ‘eternal sunshine (slightly deluxe). The new version features four additional songs including ‘supernatural’ with Troye Sivan, an acoustic version of ‘imperfect for you’, ‘true story’ (acapella) and the ‘yes, and?’ remix featuring Mariah Carey.
On Friday, “eternal sunshine” immediately topped the charts and became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far. The album also features the chart topping single ‘yes, and?’, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked Ariana Grande’s eighth #1 and twenty-first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
