Fresh from announcing her new album ‘petal', Ariana Grande has revealed that the set's first single, ‘hate that i made you love me' will arrive on 29th May 2026.
Announcing the release on social media, Grande referred to ‘hate that i made you love me' as ‘one of my favorite songs i’ll ever write'. The song is produced by ILYA and Max Martin. Fans can pre-save the track now and pre-order physical editions of the song, which will be available in two 7-inch vinyl variants, along with two CD and two cassette editions.

‘petal', Grande's eighth studio album, will be released on 31st July via Republic Records. It's available to pre-order now at https://arianagrande.lnk.to/petal. The set is executive produced and co-written by Grande and ILYA.
Grande's last studio album, ‘Eternal Sunshine' was released in 2024. Since then, Grande has received an Oscar nomination for her role as Glinda in the big screen adaptation of ‘Wicked'. The second part of the film, ‘Wicked: For Good' was released in November 2025.
Later this year, Grande will return to the UK for her ‘The Eternal Sunshine Tour', which she has warned fans will be her last tour for a while.
