The Mars Crisis Update is now live in Sword Warriors offering players a new world to explore and wave after wave of new enemies to defeat. The new event is based on the RPG game Honkai Impact 3rd, putting players into an end-of-the-world situation.
The new world comes with its own currency in the form of, weirdly, bamboo. Sadly you can’t earn bamboo directly and need to farm another currency first which can then be exchanged for bamboo. Oddly this is on a one-for-one basis so I’m not really sure why we can’t just earn the bamboo as we go, but hey I guess that’s why I’m not a game developer!

Players earn these new currencies by increasing their roaming level. This is achieved in a rather bland arena where you simply need to grind through waves of enemies. During this grind, you will earn anchors, yes yet another currency! which can be used to level up your character thus making your grind go faster.
Your reward for all this grinding? A new hero and ornament have been added but they are quite expensive and will take a good few days of grinding to obtain. I haven’t unlocked them yet so I’m not sure if they are any good but more heroes is always a good thing.
