‘Doctor Who: The Edge of Destruction’ released on vinyl for Record Store Day 2024

In celebration of the iconic story’s 60th anniversary, Demon Records is set to launch an exclusive vinyl release of ‘Doctor Who: The Edge of Destruction’ for Record Store Day 2024 on 20th April 2024.

Doctor Who enthusiasts and vinyl collectors alike will welcome the addition of the story to the Demon Records range. Narrated by Carole Ann Ford, who played Susan, the Doctor’s granddaughter, the brand new audio presentation includes her unique linking voiceover. Fans can delve even deeper into ‘Doctor Who’s earliest years with an exclusive bonus interview with Carole Ann Ford, who reflects on her time working on the episodes in the 1960s.

The vinyl itself promises a visual feast for fans, featuring a picture disc on Side A showcasing the TARDIS’s melting ormolu clock from a pivotal scene in the story. On the flip side there is an exclusive Zoetrope depicting the TARDIS swirling across space and time. The 12” disc is elegantly presented in a die-cut artwork outer sleeve.

‘The Edge Of Destruction’ takes fans back to the Doctor’s earliest adventures. Only the third story ever broadcast back in February 1964, it features William Hartnell as the Doctor, alongside Susan (Carole Ann Ford), Ian Chesterton (William Russell), and Barbara Wright (Jacqueline Hill).

Don’t miss the opportunity to own a piece of ‘Doctor Who’ history with this limited edition Record Store Day release. Whether you’re a devoted Whovian or a vinyl enthusiast, this collector’s item promises to whisk you away for an exciting adventure in space and time.
