Kenny Chesney announces tour edition of new album ‘Born’ & drops new song

As anticipation builds for Kenny Chesney’s first new music in nearly four years, the East Tennessee songwriter and superstar is breaking conventions to give fans a unique musical experience. Recognizing the profound connection between his live performances and the essence of his music, Chesney has announced a special Tour Edition of his upcoming album, ‘Born,’ available to his ‘No Shoes Nation fan club.

In a departure from the norm, Chesney shares, “We decided to do something a little unorthodox because, as I’ve said with my live albums, there is no sweeter sound than hearing No Shoes Nation singing my songs. We are going to create a special Tour Edition of ‘Born’ which will have a few select cuts from 2018 before the world changed, in addition to the album that everyone else will be able to stream or buy in all the usual spaces.”

Alongside this news, Chesney has just released new song, ‘Just to Say We Did,’ which you can listen to at the link below:

Scheduled for release on March 29, ‘Born’ promises to encapsulate the diverse musical facets that make Chesney a singular artist, featuring high energy, good times, introspective ballads, and truly unique songs. For fans who have secured tickets to Chesney’s summer concerts or are members of his fan club, a special email will contain a link to purchase the Tour Edition of BORN, complete with three additional tracks.

Included in this exclusive release are the high-octane ‘Living In Fast Forward’ recorded at Chesney’s record-setting Nashville Nissan Stadium show, along with two digital-only live recordings from Chicago’s Soldier Field: ‘Get Along’ and the CMA Award-winning duet with David Lee Murphy, ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.’

Renowned as the only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the past 15 years, Chesney, often dubbed “The King of the Road” by the Wall Street Journal, is set to infuse the feel-good excitement of his stadium shows into ‘Born.’ Chesney elaborates, “Those songs say so much about who we are, how we try to live and see the world. If I were going to put three songs that match up with everything that’s going to be on this album, these three tracks would be the ones.”

As the lead track, ‘Take Her Home,’ climbs the Top 20 charts, Chesney teases more musical delights to come. ‘Just To Say We Did,’ out now, offers a savoury and smart preview of the album, embodying the embrace-the-moment ethos that defines No Shoes Nation.

Chesney reflects, “‘Just To Say We Did’ sounds like me and my friends growing up, and so many people I’ve met along the way. It’s a song where whatever it is, why not? Get out there and live, shoot your shot, do that bucket list thing – just to say you did. When you can boil down how to create real joy into three minutes that feels this good, I want to sing that song.”

For those who have already secured tickets to the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour, an email with a link to purchase the special BORN Tour Edition will be provided, extending this exclusive opportunity to longtime fans and recognising their unwavering passion for Chesney, his music, and No Shoes Nation.
