Catie Offerman releases one of the best new songs of 2024 so far

MCA Nashville’s very own Catie Offerman has just dropped her latest single, “Sound Of Missing You,” a poignant composition co-written by Offerman, Justin Ebach, and Josh Thompson. This soulful tune emanates the nostalgic honky tonk vibes, transporting listeners to the dancehalls of Offerman’s home state of Texas. We last spoke to Carie when she appeared at the C2C festival in London last year and you can read that interview right here.

We think this ear-worm of a song is one of the best songs released in 2024 so far and it’s immediately gone onto to our ‘Best of the Year’ playlist. Catie recently appeared as a guest on the Bobby Bones show and you can listen to that interview below.

Offerman reflects on the inspiration behind the track, sharing, “‘Sound Of Missing You’ took me back to every dancehall in Texas, reminiscing on every broken heart. Not every honky tonk memory is a happy one. I vividly remember the day we wrote it, with Justin sharing his idea inspired by his dog, Gnocchi. His dog’s whining prompted his wife, Jeanine, to say, ‘that’s the sound of him missing you,’ which became the incredible song title! I’m so grateful I was on the writing calendar that day!”

Catie Offerman is set to grace stages across the country this year, joining Parker McCollum on several tour dates. Tickets for these performances are available here.
