Ariana Grande may have been busy filming ‘Wicked’ the past year or so but 2024 marks her return to making music.
Today the singer released her new single ‘yes, and?’, written and produced by Ariana Grande, Max Martin, and Ilya Salmanzadeh. Out now the song is an unexpected house banger that features some hard-hitting lyrics as Grande seemingly answers back to her critics. Take a listen below:
‘yes, and?’ is the first single taken from Grande’s upcoming seventh album, which is expected to be released at some point this year. The song was teased on social media earlier in the week and early reaction suggests it’s going to be another smash.
Grande’s last solo release was 2021’s ‘POV’, taken from her ‘Positions’ album. She’s also released two collaborations with The Weeknd – ‘Save Your Tears’ and ‘Die For You’ – as well as filmed the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the hit musical ‘Wicked’. Grande will take on the role of Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The film also stars ‘Bridgerton’ breakout Jonathan Bailey.
Fans can look forward to the music video for ‘yes, and?’, which will debut later today.
