Walter Presents is bringing Season 2 of Finnish conspiracy thriller ‘Arctic Circle’ to Channel 4 and C4 Streaming this month.
The story picks up where season 1 left off, diving deeper into the chilling conspiracy that intertwines medical mysteries, corporate greed and international espionage. Detective Nina Kautsaloās newly established quiet life is upended after a shocking murder is committed. Nina joins a new police unit and investigates an international hunting society who may be responsible for the crime.
As the case unfolds, the investigating unit discover evidence suggesting that the ring is linked to an old murder case involving Ninaās past. With the support of her team, Nina races against time to unravel a web of secrets that threaten the safety of her family and the wider community.
The unforgiving landscapes of the North provide a backdrop for a sinister game of cat and mouse between the police and dangerous hidden forces. Will Nina uncover the truth before more lives are lost, or will the murderers get away with what they have done?
The six-part series is created by OlliĀ Haikka, PetjaĀ Peltonmaa and Joona Tena. It stars IinaĀ Kuustonen, Pihla Viitala and Venla Ronkainen.
Walter Presents: ‘Arctic Circle’ Season 2 will launch on Channel 4 at 11.30pm on Sunday 28th January 2024. The full boxset will be available on C4 Streaming from Friday 26th January 2024.
