Lil Nas X set to court controversy with new single ‘J Christ’

Lil Nas X is set to make a comeback with the release of his new single ‘J Christ’ on 12th January 2024.

The song is Lil Nas X’s first single and video in two years. Judging by the artwork for the single, which sees the rapper dressed as Jesus and tied to a cross, is sure to cause controversy especially among religious communities. Take a look at the cover below:

No stranger to controversy, the out gay rapper has regularly been in the headlines since his 2018 breakthrough number one smash ‘Old Town Road’. His 2021 single ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ saw the rapper giving the devil a lapdance, which caused outrage but propelled the song to number one in the charts.

Lil Nas X’s debut album ‘Montero’ was released in 2021 and has been certified Platinum in the US.
