After one of the longest teases in recent memory, the premiere date has finally been announced for ‘Gladiators’.
The reboot will make its BBC debut on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 13th January 2024 at 5.50pm it has been confirmed. That means it’ll be occupying the tea time slot, like it did back in the 90s when it was on ITV.
The new series is hosted by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney, and it’ll see a host of new contestants put themselves up against a brand new crop of Gladiators. From what we’ve seen in the trailer, it looks like the magic of the original series has been captured and we’re pretty excited about the show returning.
Ex-Premier League Football referee, Mark Clattenburg, will be on hand to keep an eye on the games with help from Sonia Mkoloma and Lee Phillips. Football commentator Guy Mowbray will be giving commentary throughout each episode.
‘Gladiators’ features 11 episodes in its new series and we have a feeling it’s going to be a big hit for the BBC.
