Diamonds are the driving force behind the economy of ‘Pet Simulator 99’ on Roblox and there is no such thing as having too many. Whether it’s new items or a brand new huge pet to add to your collection, you’ll always need more diamonds.
Developer Big Games Pets clearly knows this and doesn’t make it too easy to earn a vast amount of them. Despite this, you can do plenty of things to maximise the amount of diamonds you can earn. In the interest of completion, I will point out that you can buy diamonds using Robux (real-life money) however I want to focus on how all players can earn more diamonds regardless of whether you are new to the series or an experienced player.
It should be noted that any of these tips on their own isn’t going to make you rich overnight. This game takes a lot of time in order to be successful but these tips will certainly help you on your journey.
Don’t neglect the merchants
There are two permanent merchants around the map, plus there are regular visits from the mysterious and travelling merchants too. If you’ve never taken the time to see what these guys sell I suggest you go take a look. These merchants sometimes sell high-value items at very low prices which you can go and sell in the plaza and make yourself a tidy profit.
Shop for bargains in the trading plaza
Ah the trading plaza, a place where players go to sell their hard-earned loot or beg. In fact, too many people go there just to beg! Regardless of this, the plaza is a great place to look for bargains. This can take a bit of time and some server hopping but you can often come across some fantastic bargains which you can then resell for higher prices.
A great example of this is looking for bulk sales of pets. These are often at a massively reduced price versus buying them individually. You can then break these down into smaller bundles and sell at a profit.
Make the most of your farming
Farming is the biggest key to success in ‘Pet Sim 99’. I know it’s boring but the more you do the more you will benefit. I recommend gaming afk if you can (check out the video below if you’ve never done it before) but even if you can’t do this you can still make the most of your time.
To do this you need to be using all of the potions, enchants and fruits that you pick up along the way. These items drop very frequently as it is and there are vending machines scattered around the map if you find yourself needing more. Also don’t forget to upgrade these items so you can get the maximum boost available.
Sell limited-time items
The ‘Pet Sim’ games are full of limited-time events and you can sell most of these items in the trading plaza. Take for example the presents in the current Xmas event. These are earned by simply farming, get enough of them and they can upgraded into titanic gifts that have been selling for around 500k diamonds. Not a bad profit margin when all they have cost you is some farming time.
Don’t hang on to unwanted loot
It rains loot in ‘Pet Sim 99’ but have you ever stopped and taken a look at what you have and thought about what you do and don’t use? I was shocked when I had a look and found that I had 1000s of some items that I’ve no interest in using.
My advice here is don’t hang on to these items just for the sake of, go to the trading plaza and get them sold!!
Keys and tickets are easy to sell
Crystal keys and Spinny Wheel tickets are always in high demand and unless you want something specific from the available prizes I suggest you sell them. At the time of writing the keys sell for around 60k and the tickets for around 25k. I’ve found these items reasonably easy to obtain simply by spending time farming but they also occasionally appear for sale in the various merchants.
Use multiple accounts
I appreciate this might not be something everyone can do but if you can this can make a massive difference to the diamonds you are earning. Not only are you effectively doubling the amount of diamonds you earn (assuming you are using two accounts) you are more than doubling the amount of loot drops you can get as you’ll be taking advantage of the friends bonus.
Don’t neglect the quests, the rewards can be sold
Questing is a big part of the ‘Pet Sim 99’ formula and with a bit of focus, you can complete loads of these each time you play. Not only do these quests allow you to rank up but they also reward you with some fairly high-value items. If you have time to sit and play for an hour or so I would focus on getting these quests done. Once complete you can then go and sell these items in the plaza.
