The Shires, the UK’s premier country music export, have exciting news for fans in 2024 as they announce an intimate acoustic tour, aptly named the “Two of Us Tour.” Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes will traverse the length and breadth of the UK, treating audiences to performances of all their classic tracks. The Shires have an impressive track record that speaks volumes about their success in the country music scene. With three consecutive UK Top 3 albums, four #1 UK Country albums, over 100 million streams, two Gold-certified records, and numerous sold-out headline shows, including a memorable performance at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, The Shires have firmly established themselves as trailblazers.
Their journey began in 2014 with the breakthrough single ‘Nashville Grey Skies,’ a playful ode to the need for a British country scene. They not only envisioned but actively contributed to making it a reality, starting with their 2015 debut ‘Brave,’ which became the first-ever Top 10 album by a UK country music artist. This success continued with a string of hit albums: ‘My Universe’ (2016), ‘Accidentally On Purpose’ (2018), ‘Good Years’ (2020), and ’10 Year Plan’ (2022).
