Stephen Wilson JR unveils acoustic ‘Year To Be Young: 1994’ + UK and European shows

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. has unveiled a captivating live acoustic performance video for his single ‘Year To Be Young 1994.’ Described as a “sage storyteller and unrivaled songwriter,” Wilson Jr. is hailed for injecting groundbreaking energy into Nashville’s music scene. He has also just announced a string of dates on both sides of the Atlantic as support for Brothers Osborne and The Cadillac Three in 2024.

This announcement follows his successful shows with The Lone Bellow to round out the year. The artist has previously shared acoustic performances for tracks like ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘All The Wars From Now On,’ garnering millions of views and driving søn of dad into the top 20 albums on the iTunes Country chart.

Wilson Jr.’s album highlights, such as the emotionally charged ‘Father’s Son’ named one of the “Best Country Songs of 2023 So Far” by Rolling Stone, showcase his undeniable songwriting prowess. The track “patches” earned acclaim from Country Music Pride, dubbing Wilson Jr. “America’s best living songwriter.” Notably, the album’s opener, “the devil,” was featured in the final scene of Billions Season 7, Episode 4. The song “Holler from the Holler” and its impactful music video continue to make waves on the international film festival circuit.

Having made impressive debuts at venues like the Grand Ole Opry, Stagecoach, Ryman, CMA Fest, and Red Rocks, Wilson Jr. has shared stages with notable artists like The Lone Bellow, Midland, Drake White, and Joss Stone. Wrapping up a successful run of dates with The Lone Bellow, including three shows at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall, Wilson Jr. is set to kick off the new year with a sold-out hometown headliner at Nashville’s EXIT/IN on January 19. The tour will also take him to international destinations like Berlin, Rotterdam, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, and more, marking an exciting chapter in his burgeoning career.
