Liam Cromby, former We Are The Ocean frontman, set to release debut solo album and launch UK/German tour

Liam Cromby, renowned as the lead singer and songwriter of We Are The Ocean until 2017, has unveiled the release date of his much-anticipated debut solo album, ‘What Can I Trust, If I Can’t Trust True Love.’ The album is scheduled to drop on December 1st, 2023, and eager fans can pre-save/pre-add it here.

Simultaneously, Liam will kick off his headline UK and German tour on the same day. Commencing with a hometown performance in Loughton, Essex, the tour will feature full-band shows in Kingston and Liverpool, as well as intimate acoustic performances at Banquet Records, Kingston, and Vinyl Whistle, Leeds. The tour will then venture into Germany with solo shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich. Tickets for the tour are available for purchase here.

Cromby’s solo career has already gained momentum, marked by the release of ‘Here I Am’ in March, accompanied by a contemplative and artful film featuring an intricate dance between two performers. Subsequent releases, ‘Breakdown’ and ‘At This Table,’ have further solidified this new chapter in his musical journey. With early airplay from BBC Introducing, Absolute Radio Country, Kerrang! Radio, and CountryLine Radio, Cromby has already graced the stage at the prestigious Black Deer Festival of Americana, sharing it with artists such as Brandy Clark, Drake White, Elles Bailey, and Bella White.

Following the disbandment of We Are The Ocean in 2017, Cromby found himself at a crossroads, seemingly drifting away from his true passion, music. A day job opportunity led him to Nashville in 2019, where he immersed himself in Music City, connecting with like-minded musicians and songwriters.

Whether crafting lyrics for the heavy, four-piece rock band setting of his past or the soulful, acoustic-led songs of his solo venture, Cromby’s words delve into profound topics, reflecting on the meaning of life and the search for purpose. With ‘What Can I Trust, If I Can’t Trust True Love,’ he aims to resonate with others asking similar questions, and the music is already making its way into their lives.
