Charles Esten announces UK & European tour to promote new ‘Love Ain’t Pretty’ album

Renowned singer/songwriter and actor Charles Esten is set to make a triumphant return to the UK and Europe in April 2024, headlining shows in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway. Reflecting on his connection with UK audiences, Esten expressed his excitement, recounting his earliest musical performances dating back to 1991 in the West End musical ‘BUDDY.’ Despite setbacks, including the cancellation of his debut C2C O2 Arena headline performance due to the first COVID lockdowns, Esten is thrilled to bring his music back to the country he fondly refers to as his home.

The tour, featuring solo performances, follows the release of his highly anticipated independent debut album, ‘Love Ain’t Pretty,’ scheduled for January 26th. The album, a culmination of over a decade of work, showcases Esten’s masterful storytelling and songwriting, exploring themes of love, life, and the passage of time. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, November 24th, and the album is available for pre-save/pre-add here.

Produced by Marshall Altman, the album blends the momentum of Country Rock with Rootsy small-town charm, showcasing Esten’s warm, soulful vocals. ‘Love Ain’t Pretty’ is a testament to a lifetime of growth, with Esten acknowledging that while it hasn’t always been pretty, it has been a beautiful ride.
