Shed Seven will perform two 30th anniversary homecoming shows at York Museum Gardens on 19th and 20th July 2024 it has been announced.
The news follows the recent completion of the band’s sold-out UK tour. Shed Seven will also release new album ‘A Matter of Time’ on 5th January 2024, and it’s available to pre-order now.
A fan pre-sale commences at 9am on Wednesday 1st November for those who are signed up the Shed Seven mailing list. Tickets for the shows will then go on sale from 9am on Friday, 3rd November.
Vocalist Rick Witter says, “We’ve been longing to perform special shows in York for many years, and finally, the stars have aligned perfectly for this to happen in our 30th anniversary year. We are already planning something extraordinary for these shows, so you can expect special guests and grand ideas galore. It’s going to be a jubilant celebration of the last 30 years of Shed Seven and a performance like nothing we’ve done before in beautiful surroundings.ā
Pete Doherty will join the show’s line-up, performing on both nights. On Friday (19th July) Lottery Winners will perform and Yorkās rising indie-rock stars Serotones, who are fronted by Rickās son Duke. Saturday (20th July) is completed by Brooke Combe as well as Apollo Junction.
Shed Sevenās illustrious career will soon span three decades, having released their debut album, āChange Giverā, in 1994. The band have amassed a remarkable 15 Top 40 singles – including live favourites such as āChasing Rainbowsā, āGoing For Goldā, āDisco Downā, āGetting Betterā and āOn Standbyā – plus four Top 10 albums.
