Mariah Carey has released an EP for her song “It’s a Wrap” following traction on TikTok.
The 2009 song was originally an album track on Carey’s 12th studio album ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ and despite never being previously released as a single, the song has remained a firm fan favourite.
In recent weeks, a sped up version of the song has been used widely on social media platform TikTok resulting in the song picking up more than 1 million streams a week. Ever savvy, Carey launched a dance challenge for the track, which has seen fans in their droves recreating the diva’s iconic moves.
“It’s a Wrap” was remixed to include Mary J. Blige for Carey’s planned album ‘Angels Advocate’, a project that was to be released as a companion to ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’. After it was shelved, the Mary J. Blige remix appeared as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of Carey’s 2014 album ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’.

Carey’s fans are crossing their fingers that the track will become her 20th number one single and with streams picking up every week, it looks like she might be in with a shot.
