A brand new trailer has dropped for ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ and it gives a much better glimpse at the epic action that’s to come.
Fans can see Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler in action as Gods Hespera, Kalypso and Anthea, as the daughters of Atlas. The trailer also shows that the epic factor has been upped for this sequel with plenty of jaw-dropping special effects and gargantuan battles.
‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
It is directed by David F. Sandberg and continues the story of teenage Billy Batson (Angel) who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam (Levi).
Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy – aka Shazam – and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.
‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ is written by Henry Gayden (‘Shazam!’,” “There’s Someone Inside Your House’) and Chris Morgan (‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’), based on characters from DC; Shazam! was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.
Executive producers are Walter Hamada, Adam Schlagman, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Marcus Viscidi and Geoff Johns.
