Idris Elba is back as Luther for new film ‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’, a continuation of the award-winning television series.
Alongside Elba, the cast includes Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, and Dermot Crowley. The film is directed by Jamie Payne and written by Neil Cross.
In ‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’ a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
The film’s producers are Peter Chernin, David Ready, Jenno Topping, Neil Cross and Idris Elba, and the executive producers are Kris Thykier, Priscilla Paris, Brendan Ferguson, Miki Emmrich and Dan Finlay.
‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’ will premiere in select cinemas on 24th February 2023 and on Netflix on 10th March 2023.
