Max La Manna, the award-winning author, digital creator and low-waste chef, will release new book ‘You Can Cook This!’ in March 2023.
‘You Can Cook This!’ is filled with 135 simple, plant-based recipes that celebrate our favourite vegetables. Each recipe is designed to save time, money and waste, all while bursting with flavour. From Crispy Smashed Potatoes with Spicy Lemon Mayo to Loaded Nachos with Carrot Cheese Sauce to Sticky Apple Toffee Pudding, these are all simple, satisfying and sustainable veg recipes.
The book is designed to be a solutions-based guide; readers can look in their cupboards, pantries and fridges for food they already have and flick to a chapter in Max’s book to find creative ways to use up these foods. Alongside a chapter dedicated to our most commonly wasted ingredients, from bread to tomatoes, onions and bananas, the book is filled with recipe hacks and tips on how to get the best out of food, including practical ideas for using up the whole vegetable, transforming leftovers and the best ways to store foods to keep them fresh.

Max moved to the UK in 2019 after working in world-famous restaurants across New York and L.A. He’s developed and presented several series for BBC Earth and his recipes have featured in Vogue, Vice, The Sunday Times and more.
