In 2005 Lopez teamed up with Jane Fonda for romantic comedy ‘Monster-in-Law’. Lopez played Charlie, a woman who finally meets the right man after plenty of disastrous blind dates. Kevin (Michael Vartan) takes Charlie home to meet his mother Viola (Fonda), and she doesn’t receive the warm welcome she was hoping for. This is Lopez at her most charming and it’s one of her best rom-coms.
