Borderlands 3: celebrate 10th anniversary with five-weeks of rewards

The very first Borderlands was released on 20th October 2009 and if you’re old like me you might even remember playing it and seeing how revolutionary it was at the time. Based on my rather foggy memory I think it only had around a million guns though which is a paltry amount given what we’re used to. Nowadays I won’t even consider turning on a game unless there’s a bazillion guns to choose from.

Anyway, back to the point of this article. To celebrate this 10 year anniversary 2K Games and Gearbox Software are holding five weeks worth of events within Borderlands 3. Each event will follow a specific theme and will allow Vault Hunters to gain different bonuses each week.

Week one, which has already started and will run until 7th October, is Boss Week. During Boss Week, certain bosses will have an increased chance to drop specific Legendary items. For a full boss-by-boss breakdown of Legendary loot drops, check out this blog.

We know the titles of the upcoming weeks but no hard facts as of the moment. Information is being released each Monday detailing the events and rewards each Monday.

The upcoming weekly events are as follows:

  • Week 1 (October 1-7): Bonus Boss Loot!
  • Week 2 (October 8-14): Rare Spawn Hunt!
  • Week 3 (October 15-21): Show Me the Eridium!
  • Week 4 (October 22-28): Mayhem on Twitch!
  • Week 5 (October 29 – November 4): It’s a secret…
