Buddy & Julie Miller to release Breakdown on 20th Ave. South this month

Buddy and Julie Miller will release Breakdown on 20th Ave. South, their first album in a decade on 21st June 2019 via New West Records.

The 12-song collection was produced by Miller and follows their critically acclaimed 2009 album Written In Chalk. Three singles have already been released from the album including Spittin’ On Fire, I’m Gonna Make You Love Me and Till the Stardust Comes Apart.

Buddy and Julie started the album in 2009 but they suffered setbacks after Julie battled health issues. Buddy became in-demand as a collaborator for Robert Plant & Alison Krauss during their Raising Sand tour and producing standout albums by Plant, Solomon Burke, Richard Thompson, Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, The War & Treaty and more.

He was also part of the musical team for the TV series Nashville, where he became the show’s Executive Music Producer.

ā€œI wrote the song Iā€™m Gonna Make You Love Me as a message to Buddy, because we kept putting off making our album because he was so busy,ā€ Julie says of the song that set the stage for Breakdown on 20th Ave. South.

ā€œIn my mind I thought I was always about to get back to work with Julie, but in reality I kept getting put off,ā€ Buddy says. ā€œI apologized a lot. I look back, and I realized I was neglectful. It was a mistake I wish I hadnā€™t made. What Julie and I create together is fulfilling to me in a way nothing else is, and I should have nurtured it more.ā€

A special release show celebrating Breakdown on 20th Ave. South has also been announced for Wednesday 26th June at City Winery in Nashville, TN.

Breakdown On 20th Ave. South will be available across digital retailers, on Compact Disc, Standard Black Vinyl, as well as limited edition ā€œRoot Beer Swirlā€ coloured vinyl available at Independent Retailers.
