University lecturer Leah (Kelly) suspected that her sociology student Rose (Windsor) had submitted an essay that she hadn’t written. After confronting her about it, Leah decided to fail her and that set Rose off down a very dark path.

Clearly obsessed with Leah, Molly first tried to get Leah in trouble with her boss by claiming she’d been unfairly discriminated against, then she manipulated university worker Ben (Burn Gorman) to get her Leah’s address. Rose paid a visit to Leah’s fiancé Adam (Tom Goodman-Hill) under the pretence of dropping off her essay notes, and the next day Leah’s cat Betsy was found dead across the road from the house.

Leah was convinced that Rose had something to do with it and a tense exchange the two seemed to suggest that she was right. By the episode’s end it was revealed that Leah seemed to be in prison and that Adam had been murdered!
